Project Description:

The Chatham Fire Department is a new 20,600 S.F. headquarters and fire station, located at 135 Depot Street, Chatham on the site of the old station.

The addition of new larger apparatus and the need for more ambulances created space issues and the department needed to replace the old station.

Pomroy Associates oversaw the entire project which came in on schedule and about $400,000 under budget, something almost unheard of in public works projects in Massachusetts. Rick Pomroy lauded the good working relationship between the town, designers and G&R Contractors. “Everything has gone like clockwork on this project,” he said.
