Saccocio & Associates Architects designed this fire station, which acts as a fire station and an emergency response organization, provides medical and rescue services, and hosts classes on fire prevention and suppression.
The site constraints and challenges for this project were very unique - wetlands and buffer zones existed to the south / southwest and construction could not impede on these areas. The town’s existing Fire Headquarters to the southeast, as well as their Council on Aging to the east, remained in operation during construction without interruption - through diligent planning and daily coordination, both buildings remained in operation without issues.
